SNZ to Co-Organize Hong Kong Web3 Festival 2023, The Most Anticipated Web3 Event in Asia
March 24, 2023

The inaugural Web3 Festival, hosted by Wanxiang Blockchain Labs, HashKey Group and W3ME, co-organized by SNZ Holding, is scheduled to take place from April 12-15 on the 5th floor of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center (HKCEC), and is expected to attract over 10,000 attendees, 300 industry speakers, and about 100 Web3 projects, community partners, and media partners from around the world. The festival offers a unique platform for networking, sharing ideas, and learning from high-level content and panel discussions. The Hong Kong Trade and Development Council will also organize technology-related activities at the same venue during this period.

Build Together

The festival aims to build an open platform for all Web3 players worldwide to collaborate and achieve "win-win" outcomes. From April 14 to April 15, the hosts will invite Web3 projects to join the event as partners to present their own activities, with all Web3 projects eligible to apply for this partnership. For emerging Web3 projects, the Hong Kong Web3 Festival 2023 provides a world-class stage to showcase themselves and gain significant attention.

Notably, Mr. Paul Chan Mo-po, the Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, and Dr. Xiao Feng, the Chairman and CEO of Wanxiang Blockchain, are set to attend the opening ceremony of the 2023 Hong Kong Web3 Carnival on the morning of April 12th. Meanwhile, Mr. Zhao Changpeng, the founder and CEO of Binance, will deliver the closing speech of the first day's event through a live broadcast.

Web3 Rising in Hong Kong

The Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau of Hong Kong issued the Policy Statement on Development of Virtual Assets on October 31, 2022, outlining the Hong Kong government's strategies for advancing the virtual asset industry and ecosystem. Through the legalization of smart contracts, recognition of property rights of tokenized assets, and an open attitude toward virtual asset transactions, Hong Kong is sending a clear message of support for the future of virtual assets.

This commitment to the Web3 industry and virtual assets is also reflected in the decision to host the inaugural Web3 Festival in Hong Kong. The government has been actively promoting the development of virtual assets by launching NFTs, tokenized green bonds, and e-HKD, and is planning to implement even more sophisticated regulation policies in the near future. These measures demonstrate Hong Kong's ongoing dedication to fostering innovation and growth in the virtual asset space.
